DoubleTake creates Kinect for Windows…on real windows at Louisiana Children’s Museum!

DoubleTake Technologies (doubletaketech.com) launched the first ever “Double-purpose” custom Kinect for Windows apps for the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center. This unique “Kinect for Windows on windows” exhibit includes two 67″ diagonal window projection screens with two Kinect for Windows sensors that can be used during the day inside for education and entertainment “edu-tainment” as well as at night outside for both entertainment and advertising. DoubleTake created 3 custom “edu-tainment” apps for the museum, including a Space Shuttle app, a GoGreen Recycling game, and the community favorite Strawberry Splat game that added the local strawberry industry flavor to the experience. The exhibit will expand later this year to span all 4 front windows and add additional apps.

Utility Metering Solutions “DoubleTakes” Water Meter Surveying to a whole new level! tablet app, touch screen, survey

DoubleTake Technologies (doubletaketech.com) created a powerful tablet app for Utility Metering Solutions to perform water meter surveys in cities all over the country. The old process was very time consuming and done on paper, which also made the report and presentation preparation process much more time consuming as well. The L3i survey app includes capability to manage projects, visually see the survey route on maps, optimize the survey routes visually, survey existing meter data, perform tests and capture results, capture GPS locations of meters, match the old with a new solution, capture photos and annotate them, record videos, record audio, and review the results. These features greatly expedited the survey, improved quality of the survey, and helps them present the results in a powerful way to their clients.

DoubleTake Technologies doubletaketech.com and Xtralight Mfg. make people do a DoubleTake with brand new technology for flicking application data from a tablet device to a large touch screen at the TASBO Trade Show in Houston, TX. The sales team talks to attendees in the aisle and initiates conversation by using a custom tablet app we built for them. Then they “flick” the content onto the larger screen to better visualize the data and discuss it further with the visitor. Very powerful, high-tech sales tool!
